"@paige2two: Here's a toast to awesome mommas!! My mom supported my father while he got his PhD, raised two children, started as a temp secretary and retired 40 years later as the management, despite her lack of a college degree, AND sold maintained a part-time real estate practice in addition to her full-time job. She also managed to feed us a home-cooked meal every single night, and inexplicably, never once abandoned me in a Nebraskan hospital for being a self-absorbed ungrateful twit when I was a teenager. In my book, my mother is the original gangsta."

Aww, I love you too! Thanks for brightening my day. And I love pizza! Good brand strategy. Everyone loves pizza.

It does make me feel better to hear your stand on Sarah Palin. I almost said Britney Spears, because that's who she reminds me of.

Thanks! I enjoyed your intro to a masterpiece, with the sparkly ironic bleachers. Classic.

I know it was a mistake, but your "VD marathon" had me trying, unsuccessfully, to contain my laughter in the office.

Your teen angst novel (begun) is absolutely hysterical. I hope it wins Party Pick (I nominated it).

Thanks for being cool in disagreement. I agree that sometimes the difference between the COTD and WCOTD can be arbitrary or, at least, a matter of degrees. I liked eleanorstrousers's oil comment myself.

"This would only make sense if we lived in a nebulous world where ideas floated around in the air without form; and we simply plucked them from above and consumed them."

Sounds AWESOME. No, really, I was like "woo~" when I read this. It made me giggle. <3

glad you liked it! monkeys are great, drunk monkeys are even greater-er.

You didn't write too much! Hell, we're future lawyers/lawyers, and we all like to talk a lot :) I've never been to Iowa but I imagine it's very pretty. I spend a lot of time in rural Georgia with my boyfriend who is a farmer/logger, so I imagine Iowa is kinda like GA.

I did journalism and pr before law school, and still do pr fulltime and go to school at night. What did you do before law school?

That's great that so many women you know are on Jezebel, I've gotten a few people into it as well. I agree that it's great there are such interesting comments dealing with the law. We should totally start our own blog that is law-based, but not elitest or boring :)

Why, thank you. You're far too kind. At the end of the day, I'm really just a failed banker.
