"It may be hard for some Obama supporters to accept, but he identifies himself foremost as a black man, an African-American man, and made very conscious choices in his life to reflect that identity in the work he did, the church he attended, the woman he married, and with the family he built. That doesn't mean he doesn't acknowledge or respect his white ancestry, but it is what it is."
