@Penny: Heh. I tried an at-home highlighting kit on a friend once, back in the days when I wasn't so good at dyeing. It was hilarious and thank God we both had a sense of humor. She had melon-colored uneven stripes. But I do use Feria, which I THINK is by L'Oreal, to dye my current color.
Before I got my ass-long hair chopped off a few weeks ago, I used to trim the ends all the time. I will not do that now that I have a shortish cut that requires actual skill in layering. I also gave my younger sister a very decent haircut two years ago. HOWEVER, I refuse to touch anyone else's hair for trims. Dyeing? Yes, but I am good at it and have practiced on myself so often that it's not an issue. But I am terrified of making someone else look hideous.
@f_t_e: I'm sure Fox News is on it as we speak.
@stoprobbers: What?! You mean I am not allowed to throw rocks at people who enter my neighborhood on Shabbat? You take all the fun out of it!
@sequined: I believe they're all three-shot regimens. My concern is also whether the long time window would discourage women and girls from getting immunized, not to mention that the rate of sexual assault and rape are so high in developing countries that it would seem unlikely for the women and girls to have NOT been exposed to HPV.
@margareita metermaid: The reason it's recommended for women and girls who haven't been sexually active is because you'd be immunizing them before they can be exposed to the virus.
I wonder if it was possible for GAVI to apply for funds with the Bill Gates Foundation? It was founded for such situations, no?
Clearly we all died and went to heaven. The link says it'll be a play about two cops in Chicago. Really, Hugh? NO SINGING? I am disappointed.
I may be a minority here, but I think I do want kids at some point in my life - just not NOW. I am still young and have a career ahead of me where I can't afford to have children to tie me down, which I think is what a lot of people my age feel like. My mother had children pretty late in her life for the same reasons.

It has NEVER, EVER occurred to me to criticize others for deciding they do not want children. It is not my body or my life, and therefore not my business. Anyone who thinks someone else's decision invalidates their own should probably be thinking hard if they can really be trusted with raising other human beings.

@Miss. Money-Sterling: HA! I love the Haka. I've seen footage of the original tribal dance it is based on and I know I would be pissing my pants if a horde of burly men did that.
@kungfutoday: Oh Lord. You are right. The color of her foot and the color of her shoes were indistinguishable on my screen.

-slinks off, embarrassed-

Are those blood stains on her shoes? If not, those are the most unfortunately placed blotches of color I have ever seen.
@CordeliaShirley: My aunt's cat loves chlorine. Like, LOVES IT. He once climbed into a container I had just bleached and just sat there, inhaling. It was disturbing.
@scarletbegonia: I have a Golden Retriever named Elena. We didn't pick the name, her older owners loved "Lena" and the German breeders have a rule about first letters for names, so she became Lena.

I call her Buttface most of the time, just 'cause.

Thanks for the weekend once again, Hortense! You're fabulous and we adore you for doing this!
You know what? I give up. This scares and saddens me so much that it renders me almost speechless. I have no words for the kind of fuckery that goes on within this batshit crazy man's peabrain.
Don't worry, Stephen. I think that can be arranged when I go see my mother next month. She delights in yelling.
Alright, everyone. This tired puppy is dragging her ass off to bed because it's just better that way. Good night!
@Cesybabe or Nirvanah Crane: Psychadelic colors, Marx and DUCKS. Seriously. Does it get better? Hahaha. Except for Disney karaoke. Oh man, I want that shit so badly.
