I was just watching the 9 pm news here and they shed a little bit more light about this story. I guess one of her siblings came forward since she has been in foster care and said that Jhessye's mother got upset when she saw Jhessye watching TV on the couch with a neighbor boy. The sister said that Jhessye was then beaten and locked in a closet. She then said a couple days before the mother reported Jhessye as missing she scrubbed out a closet and some shoes with bleach. The police also said they have evidence of her buying bleach that lines up with the sister's story.
So many places back there would give me the creeps. It never felt like evil spirits or anything, just like sad energy. I think that all of the repetition of historical events makes it hard for those spirits to move on.
Here is my story from the other thread. I have a major lack of trick or treaters and the hubs is watching Monday Night Football so I am loooooving this scary-ness.
Missed the first thread so I will just throw mine in here.
My senior year of high school we moved from Arizona to bo-dunk Virginia. I have to say there is just something unsettling about the woods in VA. My family and I decided it is because of all the violence with the Civil and Revolutionary wars that happened there. We all would have weird feelings driving on some the back roads at night. There is just like a sadness and uneasiness in the woods there. It seems there are just some spirits who are unable to move on. Probably because some of the people in that area can't move on either.
Anyways we moved there the summer before my senior year and I used to just drive around the town because I was bored and didn't know anyone. One day I was driving right down main street in the small town we lived outside of. I was only going like 25 mph and I happened to look to my left and across the street were two boys (probably like around 12) dressed as Civil war drummer boys. I remember it feeling like slow motion as they looked at me as I drove by and I thought it was weird that nobody walking the street seemed to notice them. It stuck in my brain enough that when I got home I told my family about it, but I told it more like "oh my god we live in a town like in Sweet Home Alabama with the war reenactment."
That first summer we lived there we kind of played tourist and one of our favorite things to do was to ask about any ghosts people would see. They always had the best stories back there. We were at a natural cavern / battlefield one day and asked the men that ran it for their ghost stories. They said sometimes during the battle reenactments gun shots will be heard even after all the fake amo is gone. Then they say "oh and many times people report seeing two little drummer boys dressed in uniform that died in a battle around here." I got major chills and my mom and my sister both just looked at me in shock.
I swear though, the woods in Virginia are just full of spirits. There are battlefields everywhere and I just think that amount of death changes an area. We lived in the middle of nowhere on some old farm land that had been converted to about 4 or 5 homes. My mom spent the most time at the house by herself and she always felt that there was just something out in the woods behind out our house. We moved back to Arizona after about 5 years in VA and mom told me recently that as she was leaving the house when we moved she said "ok you can come in now." It would be interesting to see if the people living there now have any experiences. #Groupthink

Gah. What I wouldn’t give to have someone to actually fight with. The hubs is the type that shuts downs and says "nothing’s wrong" even though I have known him long enough to know that something is indeed wrong.
It has been a little over three weeks since I had to put down my little kitty Scioscia. Sometimes it just hits me how much I miss her and I just fall apart. #Groupthink
Oh my heart breaks for you. Over July 4th weekend, I had to put my little 1 ½ year old kitty to sleep because of Feline Leukemia. I know it is the hardest decision we have to make as pet owners, but one of the last shows of love we can do for them. Sending you lots of love. #Groupthink
I know a lot of Jezzies like OB Tampons, just thought I would let you all know that in Arizona at Walgreens they are on sale for $3.99 a box! Check out your Walgreens ad and see if they are on sale close to you. I bought 3 boxes!
PS Confession: The hubs and I have become extreme couponors...we are getting quite a little stockpile.
Wait, so on her wedding day she is taking a moment to herself to sing about the guy who she wanted to marry but it didn't work out and how happy she is to be marrying this other guy?
