I had this happen while selling some heels online. The "buyer" asked for one picture showing where the straps of the shoe fell on the feet. I obliged and provided one. They asked for a specific angle so I provided a second photo with that angle. Then they asked for three more and I declined saying that considering this is a popular shoe, I am sure you can find stock photos which can provide you with that information. It was clear to me after they asked for a third picture with really bizarre angle requests that I was not dealing with someone who actually wanted to buy my shoes. I was completely creeped out.
@Kitten is an 80s rocker (now with Jez street cred!): I am just a little over the attitude that deciding to share that fact is "embarrassing" or "uncomfortable" for the people hearing it. I want to read something on how to deal with that.
@Zombies make the heart grow fonder: I would love to find an article or post that deals with other people being "uncomfortable" with someone disclosing the fact that they were raped. I don't feel very comfortable posting everything here but if there are follow up questions, you know how to PM me.
To me, it''s just more like...How STUPID are you bringing your affair to where I live. It's not that we share the bed, or the room, or the couch-it's that I have a key and I live there. It's like you want to be caught.
So I watch this show pretty often and I have to say that I really felt for Glen. He seemed like the most sincere person they have ever featured in terms of being committed to recovery. He was so pleasant with the crews and his therapist. He was so understanding when rats had to be put down and when they had to basically tear everything out of the house to get to the nesting rats. I get that for many there is the additional ick factor of them being rats, but seriously, I think that this guy was the best story the series has ever had.
When we got a dog, the mister and I agreed to custody should the awful day come that we break up. Dog is mine. Period. On the other spectrum, I had a case where the ONLY contested asset was a dog. Condos, cars, bank accounts, nothing mattered except the dog- so I can see where these stories are coming from. Not to split hairs, but these aren't actually animal law cases so much as domestic relations cases...animal law usually deals with different matters.
Also, damn you, Kim K., for winning me over with your affinity for boxers...
@blackbird_pie: "I had to literally blackmail him into dating me in the first place, and we're 2+ years in and very happy."
You realize how awful and basically crazy that sounds? Listen, I am currently working on the divorce complaint for a couple that worked with that same attitude. He never pushed for the next step, she dropped ultimatums, he obliged. If HE isn't ready and if HE needs to be blackmailed and pushed to taking next steps, then you are setting yourself up for some major disappointments. You can't force people into feeling what they are not ready or willing to feel.
@aperfectsonnet: This happens to me constantly. It is really bad because there are a lot of men that I am friends with that only drink diet coke so when we are at restaurants I ALWAYS get brought a diet coke when I ask for a regular coke. I've taken to just mocking my friends like "nope, the diets for the chick over there".
@godotmo: My family wasn't into the bread so much. We would just do a big asopao and the adults would get drunk on wine. I'd just be excited about getting the grass for the camels and be amazed that they could get inside the house. Kids are so dumb.
