"@Papercutninja: My local grocery stores do something very similar - they put out a big red tag with a picture of a pair of scissors on it, visually implying that there's been a "price cut." However, if you actually read the tag, it says "everyday low price." I can't imagine this fools very many people, but it's probably worth it to them if they get even a few extra sales."
