Ha! My avatar just expresses my most prevalent attitude - slightly pissed at most of the world's stupidity. I have saved a couple of other "giving the finger" photos (including Bob Weir) and may switch it out - but I just love something about that pissed little girl - even if her hair is straight!

Nah, I get it :) It's one thing to have an emotional reaction to something and another to be an asshat. I didn't take your response as a personal attack at all. Don't worry about the length, either. I've written some freakin' novels in the comments of this site before.

Unfortch the actual definition and purpose is quite boring -- it's the plain white thingy that you can slip in behind the ties of a corset if you don't want the skin of your back showing through the ties. (or, as it turns out -- your bloomers showing)

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm often afraid I am oversharing. I'm terribly lonely and frightened. I think I'm crazy, too, but not medicated. I'm afraid to go to the doctor. I'm trying to pull out of this, but I often feel I've said the wrong thing. It's interesting to me that people I've never met--like you--can be so kind and feel so familiar. Let's do keep in touch. I saved it too-- it came out just before finals, and my original plan was to finish finals and re-read the previous five before buying it, but about three hours before the reading on Monday I saw that JC was going to be in town, so I figured it was a sign.
