I actually got into Doctor Who a little less than a year ago, but due to my obsessive nature, have watched everything on DVD in the U.S that doesn't involve Colin Baker (worst doctor) and started collecting the VHS.

The Tom Baker years are some of my favorite. I recently ebayed his "The Tom Baker Years" retrospective and it's about three hours of him in a hilarious pinstriped suit inaccurately discussing his tenure as The Doctor.

But I also really liked Jamie and Zoe from the Troughton years and, contrary to many opnions, I thought the Adric/Nyssa/Tegan gang was really endearing.
