That's an op-ed article, though. They're not required to be 100% factually accurate.

ETA: On his own Facebook, he said the reason he didn't sell it was because he didn't want to profit from it. (He also says in the video that he found the post while installing software upgrades, but later on says he found it through the dog's Facebook? This guy's inability to keep his stories straight isn't exactly giving him a lot of credibility in my book.)

It's not a gentlepeople's agreement without photographic proof, Karen.
Word to the Hart Hanson thing. He floated another pilot at the end of season two that Fox showed interest in but went nowhere with, and I keep getting the impression that everything since then has been a calculated attempt to get people to stop watching the show so he can go do something he really wants to do.

(Hardison/Parker FTW.)

The sad part is, when Alabama comes out with something on this level, they'll be 100% serious. At least this guy was trolling.
I can't say I'm surprised, considering his utter inability to make rational comparisons or correlations on any front.

Well, except for Richard Nixon, anyway. But I have a feeling Republicans don't like to claim him.
I don't think it's a cause to prevent a marriage, but if one or both later want it annulled, they have a built-in reason to do so, I suppose.
The way it was explained to us is that you have to be "open to children." It's always a possibility that one will come; so long as you're not actively trying to prevent them I think they're okay with it. Which is a bullshit position to take, but there it is.
There are two types of annulment--you can get a legal annulment or a Catholic annulment. If you get a legal divorce, you can get a Catholic annulment for:
"Force or grave fear imposed on a person to obtain their consent (canon 1103)
The consent was based on a condition or reservation (canon 1102)
No intention, when marrying, to contract a lifelong relationship (simulation of consent) (canon 1101§2)
The intention, when marrying, to never have children (canon 1101§2)
A serious lack of the discretion necessary to consent to marriage (canon 1095 n.2)
Psychological incapacity to fulfill the obligations of marriage (canon 1095 n.3)"
Some of these are standards that are a mile wide, and are supremely open to interpretation. I've known people to get remarried in the Church (I'm not Catholic, but my husband is, and I went to a Jesuit college on scholarship).
When Mr. Feasance and I went to Engaged Encounter, the priest kept weirdly harping on that point. That neither adultery, nor abuse would justify a divorce. Ever. We couldn't figure out why--until a woman who was there for her second marriage ran out and left the retreat in tears.
From the way my Facebook wall was acting, you'd think the mandate required them to put it in the water supply.
Yeah, it definitely seems like they're opening themselves up to turn down Planned Parenthood in the future. This isn't going to be sufficient without some high-profile resignations, I think.
They've apparently reversed their decision to defund entirely, although I haven't seen this anywhere but The Dallas Morning News.

Shhhh! We don't want them finding our hideout!
As a current SEC-dweller, I think that a more demographic map would definitely clarify the findings. I imagine you'd see clusters of higher achievement in the more urban areas of the Southeast, particularly in the areas of Birmingham and Huntsville in Alabama's case, and definitely around Atlanta.
It isn't even the BumpIt stack that gets to me. Does she use a laser level on her hairline? I've never seen one that straight.
Only if the casual mace is pink.
I haven't been back since they announced the "Fair and Square" pricing thing--are they still doing the 15% off shopping pass if you fill out the customer service survey on your receipt? Because that was awesome. I've gone home with totally awesome bras off the clearance rack for about $4.75.
Quinoa is actually a protein-bearing pseudocereal, not a full-on grain. Genetically, it's more closely related to beets, spinach, and tumbleweeds than wheat. But thanks for playing!
