I had much the same isssues as the writer. I had Depo, the pill and Nuva ring befure going on Mirina IUD. I had gained much too much weight , had no sex drive and weird mood swings on the first three. It took me two years and four doctors before I could find one who would give me a IUD. The bad part was every time a doctor refused to give me an IUD, I felt I had more info then they did. I did all the research and looked at all the pro's and con;s before asking for one. Yes the insertion was painful but mostly because pain meds don't work to well on me. The doctor who did my insertion gave me a prescription for pain meds and dilated my cervix which made things go very easy. Most of the pain came from measuring my uterus. A doctor sticks a metal rod in your utarus and measure in several different direction. He told me it would cause some cramps as well. I'm glad I kept going until I found a doctor who would do what I wanted. One year on with no cramps, bleeding, PMS, weight gain and weird chemicals. I can deal with one day of pain for all the benifits.
Oregon Shakspear Festival cast a deaf man in one of the leads for The Music Man. It worked perfectly. Maybe they should be casting disabled people in non-disabled rolls. #helenkellerabigailbreslin
