I just wanted to check and see how you were doing. I am sending positive thoughts your way. Some people will stop at nothing to shut up someone who is making them feel uncomfortable. I'm so sorry you are getting harassed.
I read your comments and I agree with you. They should be called out for what they did, and they shouldn't be putting it under the rug. The fact that people are leaving you hate mail is disgusting, and each and every one of them should be banned. What the hell is happening to the Consumerist?
I'm surprised you haven't been banned for daring to call them out on inappropriate language use.
Y'know if some other site/company that allows feedback or comments had done the things Consumerist was doing that it would earn itself an article on Consumerist with a headline saying something like "(company) only allows you to say nice things about them on their website."
I thought some of the comments in that Consumerist article were misinformed and not a little defensive. Just wanted to voice my support for your making your perspective known.
I also agree with you that using the word raped was inappropriate. Piss poor editorial judgement. I assume the writer felt that no one would care since the subject was a male. Good for you.
Just sending a quick note to say I agree wholeheartedly with your comments in the 24% thread. I emailed Gawker et al staff, and I wonder how seriously they will take the consumer complaint. Anyway, you were in the right of it, and the verbal barrage thrown at you for stating your point was disgusting. Take a deep breath, and feel justifiably superior.
So sorry about all the asses on the credit card thread. I got there too late to do anything about it, but you were totally in the right. I really really hate how Consumerist does not allow any comments regarding the language of their posts. They wonder why they are loosing readers.
Girl, thanks for speaking the truth on the HM thread. I was hesitant to read the comments...because of certain trolls that pop up whenever there's a rape thread.
You were fair and even handed. The criticism was unfounded. You rock!
Thanks for speaking up for those of us that were too discouraged to speak the same truth.
Anyway, I think you're awesome - you're a strong woman and I hope you recognize this.

I'm a rape survivor...my credit card rate was increased against my will - according to the dictionary, that makes me a rape survivor.
