Sounds good, water under the bridge (shakes hand). I know we will see eachother again and hopefully we will agree, if not, lets be more constructive :D (i get the feeling that we are both argumentative people)

There's nothing to agree to disagree on- you're annoying, period.

I was trying to walk away, you were being annoying by bringing up something that I felt should be left alone.

oh, and you're incredibly immature regarding the 'vaginal rejuvenation' vs. labiaplasty bullshit. you knew what i was talking about. you were just being fucking childish.

okay, I am going to tell you that I have two things that I have chosed to be hot topics in my life and when I see a parallel subjects I like to interject and shed light. You will see that with steroid use in minors and cosmetic genital surgery in children. If you choose to not see the parallel between labiaplasty and circumcision thats fine. There were others that could and I hope that I made one person say 'hmmm I see how they can be similar maybe i won't do this my son when he is born.' Because saving one boy from this is well worth your frustration in one evening.

quit being so fucking stupid and starting little stupid fights. you're ruining one of my favorite websites

My goal was not to start a fight, and when I saw that I made a mistake as PilgrimSoul and SisterMaryMartha pointed out, I bowed out. My question was not loaded with a statement, I guess I was asking because I was wondering if these attacks are sexually motivated, or if they are motivated by something else. My intent was not to be dismissive or hey what about me'ish.

On a personal note, I received private messages about YOU and how its frustrating dealing with YOU from other women. I have also received messages from others on here that appreciate that even though they may not agree with me, they appreciate that I am not an apologist and that I am not afraid of the 'scary feminist' while not being condescending or a misogynist.

Feminism is a very complex subject and I am going to start reading some of the books that PilgrimSoul has recommended, but from I have observed it seems that ArmCandy was right in the summary that 'its based on the crazy idea that everyone deserves equal opportunities.' and if that is the case in its most basic form it is a beautiful thing and should be nothing to be afraid of.

let's agree that we don't see eye to eye and shake hands and move off of this topic, and meet up again in the future, maybe we will agree with each other and then send virtual high fives!!

maybe YOU were talking about vaginal rejuvenation, I was talking about Labiaplasty.

Canuck.Viking on Jul 11, 2008

I guess you read one sentence and ran with it. I was stating that is my opinion that if you are an adult and you choose to modify your external genital appearance (IMO circumcision and labiaplasty are the exact same thing, your opinion differs) that you should do it for yourself, not for others. And that there was a lot of negative focus on that thread towards the doctor (who was a pompus ass) but that maybe we should focus that negative energy on those that perform those same surgeries on children. I don't think that anyone disagrees with me until they realize that circumcision (in my as a penis / foreskin owner) is cosmetic genital surgery. It seems to make a lot of people uncomfortable because they did that to their sons without thinking.

Re: George Carlin. While I disagree with your stance, I appreciate that you're being classy and mature.

Hey, fellow Jew and rape survivor here to tell you you're right on.

Aw, thanks! I think I'd better think up a better campaign slogan than skorts, though. :)

Sorry for the delay, I have been avoiding Jez personal pages.
Its cool, I wasnt offended- I figured that maybe you missed what I was trying to say.

The Interwebz- its hard to read nuance.

Nah, it's cool. People were leaving me comments, and I should've responded to them in a more thoughtful way.
