If you like that depression-era photography, you should really check out Margaret Bourke-White's work. I did a thesis on her in J-school. She was a complete badass, who was at first known for her architectural photos, but made a name for herself with her coverage of "labor" in the 30s. She also, interestingly enough covered Gandhi and was there for his assassination. Here are some images:

Wow. What I find so cool about you, though, is that your writing IS adaptive, depending on your audience. In CH's, you are much more hardcore in terms of your breadth of knowledge about politics. In other posts for Jez, you take different angles depending on the topic.
