Sorkin's piece is crap. Palin has brought up a huge problem that people just don't know shit about where their food comes from. I became a vegetarian nearly 8 years ago after being forced to realize what animals are enduring day in and day out to put food on my plate.
Frankly, hunting and fishing when done correctly are about as humane as you can get when it comes to eating former living things. The idea of a smug jerk pointedly laughing at Palin, who earnestly eats what she kills, because he gets to pretend that the food he eats daily or the leather couches he sits on just miraculously appeared is not only ridiculous, it furthers the argument of selective reasoning that goes on every day in this country. What's better to ignore the truth or embrace it?

Humane Society and ASPCA can offer routine checkups and shots at a considerable discount if scheduled far enough in advance and general pet visits without too many tests, drugs, shots, etc are under $50. And I have a Boston Terrier who is in a vets office at least every two months and on prescription food.

@bluebears: I hear ya. I guess I meant outside her family she had no quality friends to turn to. I think its important that she had family and he had friends. I also think she was a mess.
@bluebears: I look at her as friendless because when preggers she was embarrassed to tell anyone about it other than her family. So I friendless might be a bad choice, but lack of quality friends outside family might be better.

What I have always liked about Apatow's films and his TV shows is his understanding that relationships are not perfect, nor are the humans in them.

Heard an interesting take on this on NPR the other day from a FoxNews contributor who said that channel is allowed to have a more distinct bias because all of the other media outlets slant more to the left so they have to bust their butt to equal things out.

As someone who gets paid to recap this show, there are so many other things one could charge this show with it's insulting that a major magazine paid someone to write this nonsense - especially one who has never watched it.
So for a magazine that has prided itself on showcasing women of all colors, its insulting they can't say the same for sizes.
