@taritac002: Full disclosure: I live in SWVA, which feels like the reddest of the red. Fuller disclosure: I've lived primarily in the two bluest parts of NC (Charlotte and the Triangle). But overall NC has never struck me as overly red, if for no other reason that we as a state are pretty ambivalent about everything. They don't call us the Rip Van Winkle state for nothing!
