It's much worse on Top Chef. The women are almost always eliminated first and they've only had one woman winner. Chopped has had a lot more women winning than any other cooking show I've seen, and they had a Chopped Champions series of episodes where the top 2 contestants were women. They have some all-male episodes, but that isn't the norm.
No shit. One of the schools my mom worked at had the gall to list "free parking" as a benefit of being a teacher. They forgot to mention "having your car keyed" and "never being allowed to defend yourself" as benefits!
When I visited his grave there was a metal gate in front of it and a guard standing next to it, and that was in December when there were maybe a few dozen other people in the huge cemetery. I find it very hard to believe people could have sex without being noticed, especially with the security stuff they had in place.
Not exactly. It is the Valentine's Day episode and "I Will Always Love You" had been recorded and filmed about a month ago. The "tribute" part is probably just going to be a title card saying "Dedicated to the memory of Whitney Houston," or something similar.
Amber Riley (Mercedes) from Glee said it better than Mr. Schue. Her tweets: I had to pull over off the road. RIP Whitney Houston. I'm glad now that I got to meet you and thank you for your beautiful music.
Say a prayer for Bobbi Kristina and the rest of her family tonight before bed. I can't even imagine how they feel. Goodnight everyone.
I find that one to be one of the scarier evangelical code words. It means "Women are not and never will be equals." Well, that and the incredibly racist words thrown about for Obama. Not cool, y'all. Not Christ-like either!
I wonder if we had the Equal Rights Amendment if women's health would be a pawn to shift around the right-wing chessboard. This is so exhausting, and Obama has been such a disappointment through his whole first term. Will this country EVER have single-payer health care for all? Looks like it won't be this century!
