Awww, I've been wanting a tortoise for ages, and I plan on getting one as soon as I can. I was a bit worried that my prospective pet wouldn't be as communicative and that as, say, a cat or anything, but that's super cute that yours is :)

Knowing my dad, his alleged story was just a threat and didn't really exist. If it did exist, I'm sure it was something bovine in origin and had something to do with afterbirth. Old farmers love telling grody stories.
