As for Eat Pray Love, I would only add to Meg's analysis that it's also quite unevenly written--somehow the whole section about meditating in India is told in a rather frantic pace. I would credit Gilbert with a few nice moments--I mean, who can't relate to feeling depressed and wanting to just take off? But overall I found the book sort of exhausting, with not much satisfaction in exchange.

I don't know. I mean, if you like narcissism, wrapped in egotism, and tied with vanity, then it's the book for you. I realize it was supposed to be a memoir, but fuck me, she is in love with herself!
