Came back here to say that last night I attempted No. 3 (medidate) but fell asleep, then dreamed I was teaching my dog how to play No. 10 (sudoku) step by step (No. 6) until I woke up with the feeling that my dog can now finish the puzzles faster than I can.

@danhughes: Had to read your comment twice (low blood sugar here) but you're right you have a year to purchase AppleCare but don't need to register it right away. Which is something I did but without the pain in the ass to get it registered. Even after I did I only called in for help didn't have to even take it in. Don't remember what it cost me in the first place but probably wouldn't get it again.
