thought i'd leave this here instead of continue a threadjack on feminism and punk rock in the CH. i will definitely admit that i was hanging out on the sleazy side. i'm (obviously) from the south, and was mainly involved in the sludge and thrash scenes, which are definitely male-heavy and, considering the geographic locale, punk rock where i am can be a very odd cultural mash-up that includes some very racist and homophobic elements as well. i just got very tired of how so much of the negative behavior was excused based on the inherent message of personal freedom that punk rock has wrapped up in it. that and i got tired of arguing about anarchism. but on a final note i will mention that the guy who used to run ebuillition records/heartattaCk was personally a skeez to me. i've just stopped seeing punk rock as being the safe space it's supposed to be, which was a big heartbreak.

I'm damn serious about that smoker. So here's the sitch: Right now, I have 1 1/2 pounds (roughly) of frozen pork belly. Come Sunday, and the farmer's market, I could potentially have more.

Smoking date. It needs to happen.
