"@dj_chick: I agree with you, I think the fact she's a Mormon is a huge reason of why people are reading into the arguably "abstinence only" theme, because it's what people think would be expected by a Mormon. I didn't know she was a Mormon either when I was reading it, but when she had them wait til marriage to have sex, then got pregnant and was all against aborting I thought she may be really religious, but that's all. I think it didn't have to do with abstinence, just was creating that idea of a deep love and perfect guy and blah blah that girls would evidently be obsessed with."
