Thank god for you! I don't know if I would have survived the botched abortion thread on my own. I appreciate you offering a calm, rational opinion. Next time I'm in Philly, hoagies on me!
Deeemer you too!

You probably won't see this, but I loved how you encapsulated so perfectly the quandry I find myself in on reading this site. I'm a feminist, I'm pro-choice, but I feel like I should also be "handing in my feminist card" because of the way I feel about second term abortions.
I remember when John McCain questioned the "health of the mother", and he got lots of flack for that. As he should have. But his secondary point was, which was COMPLETELY ignored, that while we can all agree that abortions should be legal, we should also understand that killing an embryo is not the same as killing a 23 week old. And that at some point, abortion should not be allowed.
When I say this, I'm misogynist and hating the mother in lieu of the baby. Well, I say that at a certain point, you bear the responsibilities of your actions. And I'm sorry your life is going to suck, but there should be restrictions on what you can and cannot do, even within a right such as abortion. I mean, I had a kid that I discovered was going to have severe problems. So now, my life kinda sucks, and all my dreams and aspirations and finances are in the toilet. Does that mean I have the right to abandon him?
So if this mother couldn't get her act together to get an abortion at an early stage, then no, she should not be allowed to at a later stage. I think the most horrifying thing about this story wasn't necessarily the throwing the baby in the trash, but the fact that the baby was ALIVE after an abortion.
People will disagree with me about this, which is fine. But I'm never allowed to disagree with them. I find Jezebel to be getting worse and worse in this regard, shaming and blasting anyone with a slightly dissenting opinion, and it infuriates me.

Hey, I had to run some errands, so I did not see you question about Ileana on Dr. Phil--I did respond--check the dirt bag thread. :)

I'm intrigued what did you get disemvoweled for today? It's a fun word game but yours was a mystery only Jessica Fletcher could solve.

Chocolate Zucchini Cake
½ cup margarine
½ cup vegetable oil
1 ¾ cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup buttermilk
2 ½ cups flour
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon cloves
2 cups grated zucchiniBeat together margarine, oil and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk and blend well. Mix together cocoa, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves. Stir into creamed mixture until well blended. Stir in peeled and grated zucchini. Bake in greased and floured bundt pan for 60-75 minutes at 325 F or until tootpick inserted in center comes out clean. Can also be baked in 9x13 inch pan 40-45 minutes at 325. Cool in bundt pan 10 minutes. Turn out onto plate. Cool completely and frost with chocolate frosting.
If you skip the frosting, like I do, you might want to add a bit of extra sugar. If you like your cake sweet, that is.
The zucchini makes for a light but moist cake, which I love!

There's a site that ships: [antojitos.com]
It's owned by the aunt of my sisters bff.
My favorites are: Alto Grande, Garrido, and Yauco Selecto/Yaucono.All are grown/picked processed in PR, and we are bound by fed. minimal wages laws. And, they are fucking dreamy, creamy, awesome coffees!

Yes, that is Anne Shirley in my avatar! I think her bitchy qualities are underrated, but this photo captures them.

This comment:
It's unlikely anyone will start slapping the sausage without the casing just because Moe recommends it. And anyone who does is an idiot. That said, I'm so over Moe bating her readers for the sake of attention, or page views, or self-indulgence. She's like that kid in grade school who always acted out and got in trouble because her parents didn't give a shit about her and she needed attention any way she could get it. It's pathetic more than anything else. And, the pathetic factor increases by decade, so by the 30s, it's beyond pitiable and well into the realm of contemptible.
MADE MY DAY.
