I've had a redfoot tortoise named Bowser for a little more than a year now, and he's awesome. He's really smart and affectionate; it surprised me when I got him because I didn't realize a reptile was capable of being that lovable.
I'm definitely going to bust "chelonian" for the next hangman match I get into.

Grandmothers are impossible to please. Mine sent me a 21st birthday card commiserating that I was now on the shelf in her eyes and suggesting a list of hobbies to distract me...colletcing puns wasn't one of them...

Goodness- you are wise beyond your years obviously. Yeah Harriet Harman sucks ass. When the Labour conference was in my hometown, Bournemouth, Harman had just won the deputy leadership conference a few months before, and was in the centre of town, trying to get people to talk to her as a publicity stunt. One of her people ask me if I wanted to talk to "the Deputy Prime Minister". I said "She is not Deputy Prime Minister, she is deputy leader of the Labour Party, Gordon Brown doesn't like her enough to make her deputy leader". Then I turned around- she was standing RIGHT BEHIND ME. Awkward.
