this is my response to your comment about my comment in the military & rape & sexual harrassment thread:
My point was that the act of killing someone else goes against our general nature. And asking someone to do that, and to do that, without question, asks something very deep of an individual. Something that most people are not asked to do, EVER.
If you take offense, I apologize, but your job asks you to ultimately, take up arms and defend others, without fail. If that means killing someone else, then so be it. That's intense. And that is what I meant.

Again, if that offended you, I apologize, but regardless, I will stand by that asking humans to kill each other, in this day and age, is an "uncivilized" thing. I do not, cannot condone people killing each other. I realize that people will argue that there are necessary reasons and causes & situations, but it is not in my DNA and it frightens me.
Some of my family members have been killed, in extreme acts of violence, and I will never understand taking someone else's life. I just can't, regardless of cause or reasons.
