Seriously, I don't begrudge him a thing. There are tons of sucky and mediocre White people in other industries who make enough to buy a fucking jet, why not snark on them?
I was reading about the extensive history of human experimentation in the US for one of my classes and was wondering if those types of things still occur in secret (probably do). Then I remembered recent cases, like those in LeRoy, New York, of those girls that developed strange symptoms out of nowhere that were diagnosed as "conversion disorder." I'm sure that in some cases that's true, but I've read a few cases that are just too weird to be classified as conversion disorder.

I mean, we're talking about a government that used to spray chemical agents into the subways to see what would happen to people and happily experimented on people from other countries. It's likely that they're still experimenting with people without their knowledge.

Sorry if this is weird, but this country's history of human experimentation is fascinating and horrifying at the same time.

I didn't know that "black" was a look. They come in all different shades, dear. Don't be so stupid.
I read (in an interview/profile a long time ago) that he just abused her mom and maybe pushed her and her sister around.
Is that Donatella Versace?
So, is it a fact that Halle used the male model just to reproduce? That's how it's starting to look now? I don't think she expected him to stay around.
Her baby pictures show her with reddish hair (auburn, maybe).
Lol. Then nobody would ever have sex. There are many instances were anybody (male or female) could feel violated, but still choose to have sex.
I like Christina, but her identification as a Latina seems a little forced and and only comes out when it's convenient.

If you're Latino only when it's time to receive opportunities, scholarships, and things like that, you don't count as Latino to me. And that's why I approve of proving that you're fluent in the language and have some part in any Latino culture when receiving these types of scholarships and minority opportunities.

Christina's mother divorced her dad when she was 7. How close to her heritage is she when she's been estranged from the parent who holds that heritage for more than a decade?

She read at a low-income school filled with Latinos and Blacks. What she's saying is that this wouldn't have been allowed had it been a school in Brentwood or Calabasas (read: White).

I kind of have to agree with that.

You would be considered Latina because you're from South America (Chile to be exact). From there, it would depend on how others perceive you. Usually, here, when people think of Latinos they're thinking of the mestizo variety (usually brown or light-skinned but still ethnic looking). If you're of the White variety (like Ms. Aguilera), from what I've seen, you're usually absorbed into ordinary (non-Latino) White culture and society.

If you don't feel like a Latina, then you're not. It really just depends on your phenotype, I guess, if you're not from the US. I've noticed, as a Mex-American, that the White Mexicans (from Mexico when I visit) seem to have stronger ties to their Euro heritage and don't identify much with the mestizo Latinos.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing with that. I think the fact that this school was low-income and minority made it the perfect place for them to get away with their little pedo scheme.
"Did all pedo teachers ask to be transferred there?"

I wouldn't be surprised. This is a school in South LA comprised of low-income non-White Latinos (97 % of the student body). I'm pretty sure they've never gotten any good teachers ever. And I'm sure this was allowed to happen for so long because most of the population is Latino.

Er, you know it's a play on what all of those politicians say about gay marriage being one step closer to marrying animals.

It truly is a joke.

This actually isn't a feminist website, as many of the editors have said so in the past.

In your scenario both people were drunk. I think that's what makes it ambiguous. How can one drunk person have agency and not the other? Wouldn't both have an equal share of the blame?
I understand that there would be feelings of violation, but if both people had the same levels of impairment, I wouldn't be able to look at it the way you're doing.

I would not be happy if someone accused my brother of rape and both of them turned out to be drunk out of their minds. There's a difference between impaired sex (were both parties have been drinking, using drugs, etc) and rape.

I think they mean during ambiguous moments. Maybe when both (male and female) people are drunk and one of them ends up feeling violated in some way, despite the fact that they were both impaired.
Sorry, animals aren't my priority. Humans and their rights (especially the rights of the disenfranchised) are. I have my priorities straight. I don't care if it's "speciesism."

I'm getting a feeling that you're not part of a historically oppressed group (excluding gender).

I have PCOS and other hormone imbalances. My doctor has told me that I will have difficulty becoming and sustaining a pregnancy.
Actually, I was going through perimenopause (my doctor told me) at the age of 19 because I was so low on estrogen and other hormones. I'm not worried about getting pregnant because I don't have sex. *shrug*
Actually, I have gone to an endocrinologist and everything, at that time, was fine (you know, except for the PCOS). I think what makes mine not "typical" is that I haven't been on that type of birth control that you're talking about. I used to take birth control to help with my acne and PCOS, though. My period was just never normal to begin with (got it when I was 16 and didn't get it again until a year later).
