@DinosaurDanceParty: Do not pop them! Wear flip flops and go buy some bandaids made specifically for blisters. They are like MAGIC. They stay on for days and days and then, when you take them off, the blisters are gone or healed enough that if skin comes off with the bandaid it won't be painful. I somehow managed to get about 7 blisters while at Disney (including on the soles of my feet, which hurt like nothing else) and these got rid of six of them without any complications and the 7th appeared to pop, drain, and begin to heal on its own under the bandaid.

@Robyn Graves is a dirty leg-dragger: I don't do them daily--maybe once a week each (FWD more often) and skim for things that sound interesting. There's a lot of those on twitter, too, but I can't seem to get into microblogging. I have so much more of value to say than 140 characters.

@Robyn Graves is a dirty leg-dragger: Nowhere. And it sucks. The jez of 2 years to 18 months ago was exactly what I want in a website: witty, smart news coverage relevant to women and many intersectional groups. Offenses happened then, too, of course, but apologies were always issued (instead of the current standard nonapologies of "sorry you were offended" and "if you don't like it, don't read it). My girlfriend used to joke and call herself a "jez widow" because I spent so much time on here. I haven't found a single good replacement yet. I like Shakesville for newsy things, but it's much smaller, with all of the limitations that entails. I like FWD/Forward for disability and feminism stuff. I like Racialicious and This Ain't Livin' for anti-racism and intersectionality. Kate Harding is good for FA stuff. Tumblr has a lot of jezzies I like on individual levels.

@StephanieBoland: I understand it to be part of the "annoy the shit out of people who have valid criticism so they stop coming back" range of techniques. See also: requiring all crit to go via email so as to discourage discussion, using derailing 101 techniques when speaking to anyone who is part of multiple oppressed groups, and banning commenters of colour on a regular basis.

@Robyn Graves is a dirty leg-dragger: I very rarely read or comment anymore; often only in gt and often only when directed to by friends who still read the site (hence my tardiness in this thread). A lot of us have left.

@SanguineNight: I reacted even to titanium in my nose. The only thing that healed it finally was bioplastic, which can be autoclaved. If your piercing rejected and you got some granulomas or other allergic reactions, you might want to look into it. Ebay's a surprisingly good source.

@Albemarlena: There are plenty of Jezzies in the Triangle area!

@go out and love someone: If a mod or editor does anything to a thread--promoted or demoted--it locks the thread so no replies can be promoted. It's a weird technical glitch thing.

@Albemarlena: Don't be surprised if he doesn't eat during or for a few days after--and thus don't be surprised if he doesn't use his box for a few days. Go to your vet and tell them your plan; they should be able to give you some meds to help keep him relaxed. If they tell you to dose him an hour before you go, do it--I thought it was unnecessary and he went into a real panic for the first ninety minutes of the drive before he sort of crashed into this uneasy state. They'll leave him pretty disoriented and needing his space for a few days, though. When I used them correctly, he was great in the car (not a lot of crying) and more relaxed in the new place. Some hotels definitely let in cats--maybe a search on priceline or another aggregator can show which ones are pet friendly? I'm not sure on that part. Finally, where in NC? There are a bunch of us scattered about the state.

@Blodwynn: Are you crying because they suck so much?

@InEscape: Nope. Threadless uses its own brand for some of its shirts, but many shirts--even new designs--are printed on AA. I bought a new design two months ago that's AA.
@heartsrevolution: It's my favourite, too. I got a matte top-coat and I love it with this.

@Kemperboyd: Foiled by a slippery weiner: Depends on when you were starred. Those of us with them before the Great Commenting Changeover a year ago seem to have them universally.

@lastsinglenolongerstanding: I'm surprised she's not afraid of it.

@honeybear: I love them! I take a bunch of things to prevent my migraines and about a year ago one of the meds was starting not to work very well. I could research if it would likely work for me and if it'd have any interactions with the other stuff before I ever went to the doctor, so I was prepared.

@ScrabbleQueen: Other opinion: I take a beta blocker for migraines, and it hasn't done a damned thing for my anxiety.
