Grief is just ugly, scary, and terrifying. I have walked through this emotion and emerged a different, unrecognizable creature.

@PhDelish misses 10, dislikes 11: Dr. Oz and some of his colleagues were discussing epigenetics the other day on Oprah radio. They listed a plethora of things pregnant women shouldn't do in order to protect their unborn future generations. The no-no's included not flying (too much radiation), not handling receipts (who knew?), etc. I loved when Lisa Oz pipped up and asked the men why, if these things were bad for fetuses, weren't they bad for everyone? I thought it was a good point. As you said, not everything is about children. I am afraid that this new branch of science, while intriguing, will provide another way to judge the choices that women make.
@cate3710: I share this sentiment. However, like Shayshay and others pointed out, the title "stay-at-home" is okay to associate with wives and moms, but not husbands and fathers. Would you suggest that we just drop the moniker altogether? Everyone just works at home?

@Lauren_Belle: I'm with you. Some grooming practices (e.g. shaving pubic hair) are just too sexual to do in a "non-sexual" coed bathroom.
Though his infidelities discredit him, I do take away something from this clip: do unto others as you would expect they should do unto you. I wish he would have just said that instead of making sexist remarks. Male or female, being attentive to your partner can help keep the relationship happy, healthy, and exclusive.
@DutchessOfDork: The judge should never have accepted that plea deal. Judges do have the authority to tell the prosecutor and defense attorneys to regroup and come back with a new plan. This situation would have been the perfect time to use that authority.

Years ago, my aunt had a pair of outrageously expensive ($400+) harem pants, but I never saw her actually wear the atrocious things. I think that she was talked into them by a boutique saleslady and regretted the purchase but was too prideful to say so. She would be tickled to know that those pants which always were and will be ugly, are at least considered "high fashion" at the moment. #hammerpants
As much we'd like to distance ourselves from crushing on Edward Cullen "Bad Boys" during our teens, I feel like women don't completely grow out of this type of attraction. I just took a break from writing a paper on cultural feminism and the Southern Baptist Church to read Jez. (Three cheers for "share your feelings" law school classes!) So, I'd say that my reading list consists of Carol Gilligan, etc. I'm also trying to avoid reading feminist/scholarly articles that usurp my thesis. #feministbooks
