@chennui: Does the coconut oil on your scalp make your hair greasy? I've trained my hair to only need to be washed 2 maybe 3 times a week but I'm still having the flaking. I don't want to increase washing by oiling my scalp but honestly at this point I'm willing to try anything.

The seasons are changing! Which is awesome minus the fact that I get really intense dry scalp have super dark brown hair and only wear black - during the cold months.
Any tips on how to minimize/treat dry scalp? It's not dandruff and generally dandruff shampoos have made it worse in the past.
