"As someone who has struggled with her weight, can I just say: in my life, people have made rude or disparaging remarks about my race, my religion, my sexual choices, my Ivy-League education, my interests and my hobbies. Although I did once have a fourth-grade friend make a nasty remark about my size, it was much less painful than the time a tenth-grade friend told me I was going to hell because I "worship idols" or the time a group of freshman girls at aforementioned college ostracized me because I didn't attend their church. Despite what we may want, there are always going to be nasty, judgmental people out there."
