I'm probably going to be hitting the open thread later in the week with this, but is an iPod Touch worth the extra cash over an iPod Nano?

(Alternate title for this: Justify my tech whoreity!)

@Zombie Ms. Skittles: I guess it depends on what you want out of it. If you want a little hand-held computer, then it's *definitely* worth it! If you've already got a good smartphone or don't really care about checking your email or using various other iPhone/iPod touch apps, then I guess the nano it is.

Let us know what you decide!

@Adam Pash: Thanks. I want a smartphone but I don't want to pay for the extras from Verizon so this might be a nice compromise. If they had a 16GB one I'd be all over it, but I'm afraid 8GB might be too small and I don't think I need 32GB.

This might be a nice alternative to getting a netbook, though.

@Zombie Ms. Skittles:

#openthread Depends on what you want to do with it; a nano is a music player and a touch is closer to a mobile computer. Personally, if you can afford to spring for the touch, you get so much more for your money.

@Zombie Ms. Skittles: I wouldn't worry about if you /need/ 32GB. I think it'd be nice to have the extra space, especially with the apps available on the touch.
