Only Woman in ‘Silicon Valley’ Trailer Is a Stripper Named Mochachino

HBO dropped a new trailer for the upcoming series Silicon Valley, centered on the contemporary gold rush that is the tech industry, and it’s kinda problematic, like the tech industry itself. First up, there’s only one visible woman in the clip who’s allowed to speak: A stripper named Mochachino. (I definitely thought she was being played by New York from VH1’s Flavor of Love — judge me now, I’ll take it.) The other woman is literally just a voice in the beginning of the trailer; then there are the four female background dancers flanking Flo Rida during a performance. Yay, gender equality in tech!
