Oh My God There's Another One: Meet The Real Housewives of Potomac

Bravo has added yet another city to its Real Housewives empire, and this time we’re going to Maryland. Here is the trailer for The Real Housewives of Potomac—an affluent area in Maryland described by one of the new housewives as a “nice little secret.”


I find this interesting because clearly Bravo needed some sort of replacement for the pathetic disaster that was The Real Housewives of DC. Obviously, they didn’t want to risk hitting up the exact same city for new blood.

Additionally, they desperately needed some black housewives who didn’t live in Atlanta. Unfortunately, I’ve all but given up on The Real Housewives of Miami, which was the only franchise with multiple Latina housewives. Somehow, Bravo can’t seem to find any rich, non-white crazy women living in New York City.

The trailer for RHOP includes the line, “Black Katie is Jewish,” so I’m feeling pretty good about this.

Bravo also announced that we will be blessed with the The Real Housewives of Dallas sometime in 2016. I hate to say it, but it’s important that I be honest with myself: Between these two additions, the current season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills AND The Real Housewives of Cheshire, there goes my social life.

The Real Housewives of Potomac premieres January 17.
