Nuns: It Would Be a 'Sin' to Sell Katy Perry Convent That Once Housed Priests Accused of Molestation

Hello. It’s me. I was wondering if after all these weeks you’d like to meet. To go over…everything. They say the nuns don’t wanna sell it, they don’t do much sellin’.

When the most important real estate news of 2015 broke this summer, the idea of Katy Perry battling nuns over buying a convent was almost too absurd to think about. That the battle isn’t over yet is just plain unbelievable. How is this still happening, why does Katy want this convent so badly, and how much did the nuns hate Prism?

The nuns told Billboard:

“Katy Perry represents everything we don’t believe in. It would be a sin to sell to her. Even mentioning that she would sell her soul to Satan is against our principles and beliefs. In selling to Katy Perry, we feel we are being forced to violate our canonical vows to the Catholic Church.”

Canonical vows, shmanonical vows. Here’s my big question: why the hell does Katy Perry want to buy a convent that was once used “to house priests accused of molestation”?

In an upcoming (and ununthorized) biography of 34-year-old Beyonce Knowles, author J. Randy Taraborrelli claims she and Jay Z once took a year-long break because she was convinced he was cheating on her with Rihanna.

Taraborelli claims no such indiscretion actually occurred, and that a publicist “concocted the tale to boost Rihanna’s career,” but Beyonce “just wasn’t sure of what to make of the situation” and kept away from Jay while she sorted it out.

Here’s an interesting one for you. Last night, Mindy Kaling tweeted about wanting to out a friend. She wrote, per ONTD, “Your friend who you never out on social media because it would be mean but you want to is bad.” Within seconds, she deleted the tweet, but an ONTD blogger managed to screenshot the notification on their phone.

This story would be sort of, “Hmm, that’s weird, but who cares,” but ONTD has since removed the post containing the screenshot. Look! Nothin’ there! Fortunately I was able to screenshot the screenshot before the ONTD post was deleted, so, here:

What does it mean? And who was it about? And why did ONTD remove the post? I’ve reached out to ONTD for more details and will update the post if I hear back.
