Today on The View, Barbara Walters said that people ARE upset over the New York Post's monkey cartoon "because it's a black monkey." Sherri had to correct her by saying, "That it's a monkey, period."

But Babs still didn't get it and continued, "The reason that it's racist is it's not just a monkey. I mean the reason people think that is because the monkey is black." (This makes no sense because the newspaper is printed in black and white; and the cartoon is drawn with black pen.) Sherri corrected her again, saying, "If it was a white monkey, I still would be offended."
