New Bride Who Pushed Husband Off Cliff Gets 30 Years In Prison

A woman who admitted to pushing her new husband off of a cliff in Montana during the couple's honeymoon has been convicted of murder, and is heading to prison. As she should be. Pushing people off of cliffs is wrong, not to mention illegal.

The incident, which happened last July, garnered national attention on account of the fact that it's both incredibly weird and remarkably sad. Here's the New York Daily News' take on what went down, with bonus sensational opening graf descriptors (for sure better than "incredibly" and "remarkably"):

A nefarious 22-year-old newlywed who shoved her husband of eight days off a majestic Montana cliff was sentenced to 30 years in prison Thursday for her grisly crime.

NEFARIOUS.

And, with that, the least romantic honeymoon ever ends with one half of the couple behind bars and the other half pushing up daisies. Brace yourself for the inevitable Lifetime Original Movie.
