Here's your daily Chinese baby formula update: The official number of children sickened by the contaminated milk jumped from 6,000 to 53,000 on Sunday, with 12,892 children hospitalized as a result. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's two main supermarket chains pulled Nestle milk powder from their shelves after a newspaper reported that the product contained melamine.
