Blogger Bridget Crawford got curious after using the expression "Nervous Nellie" and, upon researching the term's derivation in the OED, found that it refers not to a Nellie but a man, Frank Kellogg, Secretary of State under Calvin Coolidge. More here at the link at right. [Feminist Law Professors]
