Myrtle Beach Modesty Police Goes on Memorial Day Weekend Arrest Spree

Latest

Myrtle Beach’s modesty police has apparently been out in full force this luxuriously long weekend, with news that three different women were arrested and charged with misdemeanor indecent exposure on three separate occasions. It’s off to South Carolina!

According to ABC affiliate KTRE, three different women were arrested and charged with indecent exposure from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon, a rash of indecent exposure citations that must set some sort of 24-hour record. From the report:

Latosha Faye Collins, 27-years-old from Dalton, GA was arrested at 7:20 p.m. at 199 8th Ave. North on Ocean Blvd. The police report states Collins was on the back of a purple motorcycle shaking her bare bottom in the air…
Tenisha Blair, 34-years-old, from Shelby, NC was also arrested at 199 8th Ave. N. Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach, around 9:45 p.m. Friday night. The police report states she was walking on a sidewalk wearing a black dress with nothing on underneath, exposing her bare bottom.
Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning, Latoya Michens, 31-years-old from Philadelphia, PA was arrested at 19th Ave. South Ocean Blvd. The police report states she was walking northbound on Ocean Blvd. exposing her bare bottom.

Collins was traveling with a man named Eric Cunningham, who, in accordance with the release of Fast & Furious 6, received a misdemeanor citation for “racing engines unnecessarily,” and driving without a license.

It just doesn’t seem fair to arrest people for, by all accounts, simply relishing the first weekend of summer. I mean, it’s not like any of these women were masturbating in public, or really doing much of anything other than wearing small amounts of fabric, but Myrtle Beach must still long for the days of the cozy Victorian tank suit, the better to trick prowling sharks into believing that cautious bathers are really seals.
