After watching how Leah bathes her twin daughters on last night's episode of Teen Mom 2, it's apparent that the cast of the MTV hit reality show is not pulling in the big bucks that the media purports. Leah's life is essentially a country song. She and her husband Cory live in a rundown, one-bedroom trailer so now that Cory is going to get a better job as a coal miner Leah thinks they should buy a bigger, better trailer and park it on a property in a better neighborhood. One of the reasons for this is because their special-needs daughter Ali's physical therapist won't go to their home. The other reason is that they don't have a working bath tub in which to bathe the babies. As you can see in the clip above, Leah cleans her kids in a dank, dirty, unfinished basement that looks like the dungeon from Silence of the Lambs. (Who knew mobile homes had basements, anyway?) The tub does not have running water, but instead is placed beneath some exposed pipe on the ceiling—that happens to be next to some exposed electrical wires—and catches the water that is released. Remember last week, in the season four finale when Pauly D detailed his plans for when he got back to the states? His exact, excited words went like so: "I can't wait to go tanning, I'm gonna go tanning, then I'm gonna go tanning, then I'm gonna go tanning, then I'm gonna go to the gym, then I'm gonna do laundry." He wasn't exaggerating. MTV has released this clip from the upcoming season five of a red-faced Pauly D who had tanned so many times in a row (supposedly to make up for the months of not tanning in Italy) that he "burned his face off." Then he tried to fix the problem by peeling off his burned skin and exfoliating, which is exactly what you should do if you want to make it worse. Even Snooki had to admit, "I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would ever tell anyone in this house to stop tanning," but in this case, she had to. When we last left our traveling Shore nomads, Snooki had just had the worst day of her life. See, her relationship fell apart after she exposed her genitalia in a nightclub. Snooki found comfort between Vinny's sheets, a fact which she "blacked out" in this week's episode. Everyone — including Pauly D and Deena, who were in the room at the time — realized that the two slept together, except for Snooki. So when The Situation decides to spread a rumor that he called his friend, "The Unit" (is that a reference to his penis?) and told all about Snooki's cheating ways, things got a little crazy. Okay, a lot crazy: Snooki physically attacked The Sitch, screamed, and threw wine bottles across the room. Very lady-like behavior! After The Situation revealed the trick he played and everyone decided he's an asshole, Snooki had to figure out if she really slept with Vinny or not. It's common knowledge that MTV's name hasn't had anything to do with its content in years, but there's still something that ties the network's early music video blocks to TRL and Teen Mom: Its relentless pursuit of teen viewers. Today we learned that MTV will pay homage to Britney Spears when the Video Music Awards air at the end of this month.
