Throughout history, only a few romances have really captured our imagination. Antony and Cleopatra. Victoria and Albert. Liz and Dick. B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling.

That’s right, these two former coworkers who fucked on and off for several years have reportedly been given $7.5 million by Random House to write about their “complicated” relationship. For comparison, Random House paid Lena Dunham approximately $3.5 million for her 2014 memoir Not That Kind of Girl. The New York Daily News reports that the book’s title will likely be announced on May 30th at a talk originally billed as a discussion of Kaling’s upcoming book of essays, Why Not Me?

According to NY Daily News:

Kaling and Novak have been pretty quiet about their relationship until now. Last September, Kaling opened up about things on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM show, saying her co-star had broken her heart a decade ago, when she was only 24. She also confessed she might have married him then.
At about the same time, Novak talked to People magazine about Kaling and their relationship: “A really complicated person and a really complicated friendship, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world,” he said .

Can’t…wait…to read several hundred pages about this!
