hey, read the bike convo you were having with folks, but felt a bit late to comment and have you see it...
I always hated bike riding (even through training and doing a triathlon) for the same reason: gears didnt make sense, felt ineffective, etc.
I recently (6 months ago) got a single gear and it changed my life. It was easy, no hassle, and was an AMAZING ride. (I live in LA, so some serious hills scattered over mostly flatness)
I tell you this specifically because someone told you to get a cruiser. DONT. Anything that has big tires, a big heavy frame, etc, will not give you the real JOY that riding can be.
Get yourself a single. Ride a friend's. I dunno where you live, but a lot of cities have bike co-ops where you can build one or borrow one for free.
There are so few reasons not to give it a try....
Ugh I sound like such a fresh convert.
Anyway!
Happy biking!
Hey girl,
I left you a message a WHILE ago and I don't see it, so I'm thinking it didn't post? Either way, I got your message and I HAD responded that all is chill and I appreciated your message and it explained things. My hypersensitivity to the zebra (or oreo or blah blah) terms create reaction-my issue. But I understand the context, so high fives sis! Peeeeaaaace two fingas...
Saint Joe's! Love it. I grew up very close to city ave. As for the Real World - yes I found that I was among some of the dumbest people I've ever met at the casting call. All the girls talked about their nipple piercings. It was a wacky day. Needless to say, I'm happy I wasn't picked.
:)

My question of course was really, "What can Obama do, other than become 100% white, to reach working class whites?" I knew you'd understand.

I have a theory that the stars thing is if you have X number of followers.

What the hell is up with SinisterRouge lately? I usually like her, but she is batshit crazy for Hillary, and it's getting kind of weird.
