• Courtney Love hired Michael Mouris to create a short animated video about her life. Karl Lagerfeld comes to her and tells her she is "drowning in the kook," like a Teutonic fairy godmother of style. It is awesome. [WWD]

• The Special Court for Sierra Leone ruled that prosecutors can subpoena Naomi Campbell to compel her to testify about blood diamonds witnesses report she received from warlord Charles Taylor in 1997. Campbell had rebuffed prosecutors' attempts to interview her. [AP]

• Marc Jacobs and his fiancé, Lorenzo Martone, are reported to have broken up. Jacobs flew solo last Tuesday at the wedding of his business partner, Robert Duffy. [NYPost]

As Milan winds down, some of our favorite fashion critics [Ou est tu, Robin Givhan?] waxed not-so-poetic on what they've seen over the past few days. Gucci was universally slammed. Marni, Ferragamo, Dsquared, and Missoni got words good, bad, and ugly all thrown at them. The poison pens are out, there, and we're looking forward to the start of Paris Fashion Week on Monday - who shall be Cathy Horyn's next victim? In the meantime, we mourn those slain by Horyn this week.
