At one point he posed for a photo with 8-month-old Cooper Wall Wagner and his parents, Capt. Greg Wagner and Meredith Wagner. While Obama and his parents were all smiles, cute little Cooper casually reached up and jammed his chubby little hand into the President's mouth. Obama's reaction was pretty cute too, and he used the opportunity to make a joke at his own expense, saying Cooper must have been thinking, "I want some of that big nose." More »

Wow, La Doocy and The Sad Puppets (otherwise known as the painful morning "news" show Fox & Friends) report on something that doesn't make us want to stab our eyes out! A robber held a knife up to a woman's throat as he attempted to rob a convenience store, only to be chased out by the formidable female and ex-Marine. The woman, Karen, says there was "no hesitation" although she admits that chasing down a robber with a weapon probably wasn't the smartest thing to do. The remains of Holley Wimunc, the Fort Bragg Army nurse who went missing on Thursday, have been found. Wimunc's father announced today that authorities have found the remains of his daughter in a brush fire near Camp Lejeune on Sunday. Wimunc's husband, Cpl. John Wimunc, and another Marine, Kyle Ryan Alden, have been arrested for burning a house next door to Holley Wimunc's torched apartment, although the connection between the arrests and Wimunc's apartment and death has not been made by authorities as of yet. Tyrone Hadnott, the Marine accused of raping a local 14-year-old school girl while stationed at Camp Foster in Okinawa, Japan, has been convicted by a U.S. court martial of "abusive sexual contact" and sentenced to four years in prison. The Japanese courts decided not to pursue the case after the teenage girl, who was "criticized in the media for getting into the car with the Marine," dropped her charges. [NYT] More »

Four Marines have been court-martialed for their participation in the rape of a Japanese girl. These servicemen are not to be confused with Tyrone Hadnott, the Marine accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in Okinawa. These Marines are being punished for an entirely different rape that took place last year in Hiroshima. (They allegedly gang raped a 19-year-old in a car shortly after meeting her in an event hall.) Missing Marine Found Dead; Likely Murderer Missing

Brace yourself for this Monday morning tale of woe: the remains of 20-year-old Maria Lauterbach, the pregnant Marine who had been missing since before Christmas, have been found in the backyard of her accused rapist, fellow Marine Cesar Armando Laurean. The burnt body of Lauterbach and her unborn child were found in a makeshift grave on Saturday. (It is unclear if Lauterbach's pregnancy was a result of her alleged rape.) Laurean, who has since skipped Jacksonville, North Carolina, where he and Lauterbach both served at Camp Lejeune, admitted to burying Lauterbach, but claimed in a note that Lauterbach slit her own throat. Which would explain the blood splattered all over the walls of his house! Oh, by the way, this piece of shit was also married. His wife, reports CBS News, is said to be "heartbroken". More »
