Mad Men Costume Designer Developing Cool Design Competition Series

Latest

Like everything else touching Mad Men, the show’s costume designer Janie Bryant‘s career has turned to gold. The brains behind all of Don’s smartest suits and Joan’s sexiest dresses is set to helm a design competition series with E.J. Johnston and James Deutch, co-creators of the NBC series Fashion Star.

It’s tentatively titled Janie Bryant’s Hollywood, and contestants will create garments in the “style of a classic Hollywood film, or a celebrity’s signature style (think Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Grace Kelly).” Oooh, sounds fun. Let’s all get our hands on Famous Frocks and get ready to rule the runway, old school starlet-style.
