Director Of Precious Bringing Valley Of The Dolls To TV Yes, Oscar winner Lee Daniels working on an adaptation of Jacqueline Susann's 1966 novel about pill-popping, fame and women with ambition. For TV. (The book was turned into a film in 1967.) Hopefully NBC doesn't want a watered-down version and lets Daniels keep the drugs and the abortion in the story.
