CBS has dropped Eddie Brill as the comedy booker for Late Night after he universally insulted female comedians. Last week the New York Times published a profile on "comedy gatekeeper" Brill—referring to him as "the most influential comic you have never heard of"—who was single-handedly responsible for all of the comedians featured on on the show. So when he had to answer as to why only one woman was booked in 2011, Brill said it was because "[t]here are a lot less female comics who are authentic. We can always rely on The New York Times to keep us updated on minor changes to our late night (or rather early morning) TV schedule, and today they're reporting that NBC is now running repeats of the fourth hour of the Today show (better known as Kathie Lee and Hoda Woman's Boozy Fun Time). NBC pulled Poker After Dark because the feds accused the show's sponsor of defrauding customers (ask your insomniac uncle with a gambling problem to explain) and since the network's executives are officially out of new ideas, they just swapped in a morning show and hoped no one would notice. Though Jason Bateman's been in the acting business for nearly 30 years, that doesn't mean his career is without a few embarrassing mishaps along the way. Topping the list of his lesser moments was Teen Wolf Too — the rarely-praised sequel to Michael J. Fox's iconic original. Last night on Late Night, Bateman got the chance to have an "acting do-over" in a scene from the flick in which Bateman, now inflicted with teen-wolfdom, asks an administrator to change his schedule as his eyes glisten a fiery red. Tonight the realest of all Housewives in New York City will gather to hash out multiple-seasons-worth of spats for the cameras in what Bravo likes to call the RHONY Reunion Special, Part One. Listening to an hour of incessant squawking is enough to drive anyone crazy, and in this clip, the unofficial King of Bravoland falls prey to the madness by shouting "Shut the fuck up!" over the screeching women. At this point, I think we can all agree that Ryan Gosling's press tour for his lastest movie has been a rousing success — with each interview, he's been charming and wry and amazing. He lifted Al Roker, for chrissakes! Then: Just when we thought we could not love him any more, he brought his best buddy George with him to meet with Jimmy Fallon last night. The Gosling proceeded to feed George an apple and explain that George wears a sock so he doesn't chew on his leg. It's too much. Seriously. Do not resist.
