His name was Ron Weasley at the shelter, and because none of us know jack shit about Harry Potter, we've taken to calling him Weez, Weezy, Puss-Puss or some other name that doesn't vaguely resemble the first moniker. The ad featured a poem she'd written about the fabulous feline — lines like "Listen to the great silence of the universe/The world is extinguished." Matalon also added: "I will soon be with you." And: "We'll never leave each other ever again." The ad may have cost a lot (it's unclear how much) but Matalon is quoted as saying, "My profound feelings are beyond financial measure." More »

Etheridge says that Snowy cleans and cares for the chick, now named Gladys, and that Gladys loves to play with her adopted dad: "[Gladys] comes in and bounces up and down in front of Snowy and he just stands there and takes it and puts his arm around her," says Etheridge, adding: "They are the best of friends, very much so."
