Kesha and Her New Band Perform Surprise Holiday Gig

Latest

Kesha recently gave a surprise performance with her new band, the uniquely-named and cringe-inducing, The Yeast Infection, in Nashville. For the past year, the singer has been embroiled in a legal battle with Sony and her former producer Dr. Luke. who she alleges sexually abused her. Her contract with Kemosabe Records, Dr. Luke’s label which is housed under Sony, prohibits her from working with other producers than her abuser.

Kesha still found a way to make music by teaming up with her new, all-male band. E! reports that during the gig, which was held at Nashville’s Springwater Supper Club & Lounge on December 23, she performed versions of her hits, “Blow” and “Timber.” The 28-year-old singer also covered Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.”

Kesha also shared a clip of the performance on Instagram. “No matter what, no one will ever stop me from making noise,” Kesha wrote in the caption.” Never let anyone take ur happiness. That’s the only way they beat u. Never let them win. Love u all.”
