Jimmy Fallon's Lip Sync Battle Gets Its Own Show

Remember the time Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a fantastic rendition of “Super Bass”? Well, you’re getting an entire series worth of that stuff because Jimmy Fallon’s Lip Sync Battle will be a full-fledged series in 2015.

From a mere late-night sketch, Lip Sync Battle has grown into a real show that will air on Spike TV. It’s executive-produced by Fallon, Jon Krasinski and Stephen Merchant. And The Hollywood Reporter says the threesome will also guest on the show, which premieres on April 2, 2015.

One of the show’s producers Casey Patterson hails “lip sync battling” as “one of the coolest things happening in pop culture right now.”

It is great as a sketch, but is it worth an entire series? Might be overkill, unless they get Ryan Gosling or Idris Elba to cover “Bow Down.” Cast your celebrity Lip Sync ballots now.
