Rumor has it that Courtney Love has "ruined" her West Village townhouse. The property owner, Donna Lyon, claims that Love covered up vintage hand-finished walls: "One of the requirements of the lease is that nothing should be done to the interiors… Courtney has wallpapered and painted a large portion of the property without my consent." We'd argue that the soft blue hues are pretty gorgeous, and the folks at xoJane ask, "Does it look like she 'wrecked the decor'?" No, but then again, we haven't seen the lease. The esteemed writers of the Sassy book have finally eulogized, all gravitas-y and "dying publications are like leaking balloons" and shit, the magazine we once called Jane. Marisa Meltzer and Kara Jesella subscribe, as a lot of Janeeologists have, to the notion that Jane was the casualty of readers' love-hate relationship with it, which we don't really get because, duh, love-hate relationships are sort of the engine of late capitalism. (Or wait, are we the only ones conflicted about refreshing TMZ 69 times a day?) Anyhow, then we came upon this.

Jane Pratt just won't shut up about how actually she really hated Jane after Conde Nast ousted her ass. In fact, she wonders why the whole world didn't just come to a screeching halt the day she left! "I have some questions why they stayed after it became crappy," she said on her ragingly popular satellite radio show of former staffers. Maybe because they had a new boss who actually came to work and was really nice? But she was its MOMMY.
